Who may apply
An applicant must be registered at a diocesan parish. They must be a full-time or part-time employee, or be a volunteer in some area of pastoral ministry within the diocese.
How to apply
The Office for Lay Ecclesial Ministry has established the Financial Policy for Lay Ecclesial Ministers and a formal application process for obtaining grants from the Anselm Fund. Individuals interested in requesting an application should contact Marsha Kable at 724-837-0901.
All completed applications should be mailed to the Pastoral Center office.
When to apply
The grant year begins July 1 of the current year and ends June 30 of the following year. New applications are considered on a first-come, first-serve basis. The financial agreement is in effect for one year. The applicant may seek to renew the agreement after this period.
The review process
The Financial Assistance Review Board serves as a consultative body to the director of the Office for Lay Ecclesial Ministry. Members of the review board conduct a blind review of the applications, make recommendations to approve or reject an application and offer advice about the amount of financial assistance to be awarded.
