 March for Life

The March for Life began as a small demonstration and rapidly grew to be the largest pro-life event in the world. In January of 1974, thousands of pro-lifers participated in the first March for Life to stand up against abortion. An inspiring rally was held as Members of Congress announced pro-life legislation and expressed their support for the pro-life cause. Since then, many more individuals have traditionally marched for the legal protection of unborn children and for loving support for suffering women.

Upcoming January 29, 2021, consider uniting with others who share the faith that all life is unique from day oneand join thousands of individuals who band together every year at our nation's capital, Washington D.C.

The March for Life, together with the PA Catholic Conference and PA Family Institute, out of concern for the health of those planning to attend, and in line with the guidance of public health officials and Capitol authorities, have decided to reschedule the Pennsylvania March for Life, originally planned for May 18, 2020.

The wonderful excitement we’ve witnesses in planning for the first-ever Pennsylvania March for Life has been greatly appreciated, and we are hopeful to reschedule the event soon! Thank you to everyone working hard to ensure that Pennsylvanians from every corner and county of our state will be represented at the rally and march.

We'd also like to thank the parishes, volunteers and supporters who participated in the educational webinar, PA March for Life: Login for Life on May 18th, for their continued actions toward protective state legislation.

 Respect Life Program

Every Life: Cherished, Chosen, Sent

The Respect Life Program, held annually from October through September of the following year, aims to teach the values of respecting one of God's greatest gifts.

It is a nationwide effort to educate Catholics with knowledge so that they may become more engaged in spreading awareness, and building a culture that cherishes every human life.

Sponsored by the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops, the Respect Life Program is comprised of the efforts of leaders throughout the Church like you—parish priests, staff, and volunteers; teachers and school administrators; diocesan leaders; and so many others.
